Why should I buy a ring tone for my cell phone?

In this advanced telecommunications market, almost everyone has asked themselves why they should buy a ringtone for their cell phone. Most people buy ring tones for their cell phones because they either do not like the cell phone ring tones that come pre-programmed on the cell phone or they like to have the diversity of a variety of ring tones on their phone and they can change the ring tones based upon their respective moods or based upon the individual caller that is calling.

Before buying a ring tone, people should investigate several things about ring tones. These few issues can make a big difference on which ring tone - if any - to purchase and download on their cell phone.

The most obvious issue with ring tones is the price. You need to determine if the ring tone is merely a downloadable ring tone or if it is truly a free ring tone. Many times people believe they are purchasing a free ring tone and miss the fine print that authorizes the company to charge your phone bill for the respective ring tone.

Basically a ring tone is a small computer program that is downloaded into your cell phone. Often, this program is stored in your cell phone’s memory chip. Ring tones work when someone calls your phone and your cell phone’s microprocessor then guides the phone system on what to do - or which ring tone to initiate that alerts you as to an incoming phone call.

My favorite ring tone right now is the song from Nirvana called it smells like teen spirit.
